HAPPY ANNIVERSARY-Rick and Peggy
10 YEARS SINCE WE QUIT SMOKING
At an average of 4.5 packs a day @ an average of $8.00 a pack we have saved $131,400.00
That is a lot of beer and diesel.
We are off to Downtown Boston.
We drive for 45 minutes,parked the jeep,then take a subway for 30 minutes,catch a tour trolley.
We are here
There is the old and the new
Boston harbor where the tea was dumped
Guess how this guy paid for the boat.
Self told story
A little newer ship
Old but expensive-Just like me
This bar & Cheers is the only place you can get Sam Adam's Beer in Boston. But do not worry about it.I tried it and could not even finish it.Yuk
They have lots of beautifull parks scattered throughout the downtown area
The famous Boston duck family
The famous ball, what it is famous for we do not know,we just thought it made a good picture.
We know what this place is famous for.I just can't believe it is located so close to downtown.
Great use of land space as most of the city is backfill.
NOW THE REAL HISTORY OF BOSTON BEGINS
I met Norm
Peg met Frazer
Then we had lunch.(alcohol was involved)
The story is this is just a replica of the bar used on tv and it is located in this restaurant called Sam's at Cheers.
So off we go to the real Cheers
We go down stairs to cheers. It's a great little sports bar, very small but quaint, lots of pictures from the tv show but it does not look like Cheers on tv.
Apparently the only thing they used from this bar is the exterior shots.
But if you go upstairs they have re-created the actual bar from the show.
So after a drink up we go.Peg got Norm's seat.As you can see by the Plaque in front of her.
We were there just at happy hour but Cliff never arrived.
