Friday at Dega

The rain held off today and they opened the track.

Peggy thinks she should be a sprint cup driver but only if it has white wine in it.

Fargo was offering free rides to do burn outs but the line was too long.Beware if you are buying a low mileage dealer demo????

We went down by the track to watch some qualifying.

Then we made the 120 step walk up to our seats.(puff puff pant pant)

We are 52 rows up,great seats and can see the whole track including a great view of pit row..

Man is this place big.I think it has seating for around 143,000 asses.

Oh dear! looky right there in the middle of the picture.I think it's Sunday's winner!

After practice we went to "Trackside"
You may have seen us there.It's much better on tv.
90% of the people there are shitfaced and the only reason they are there is to get on tv.
Gee would that be us? NOT!

Then it was home for the parties everywhere.

This is my new bff Monica.If your a fan she is the smiling face in the sprint outfit in the winner's circle after every race.

It has been pretty quiet here in the campground but there seems to be lots of units coming in today.

                         This is us with Ron and Louise parked behind.

They have a lot of very stringent rules here than are strictly enforced.

NO FLAG POLES TO BE HIGHER THAN 15 FEET (for you young Canucks that means a probably 4.5 meters or something like that)

NO BARRIERS OR FENCES

NO BICYCLES

NO CANOPIES UNLESS THEY ARE PART OF YOUR RV

I think there might be some parties  goin on round here

Tuesday

Today we arrived in Alabama.

I know we are in Alabama because the guy camped next to me said he is pissed off because even after his divorce the court claims his ex wife is still his sister.

Just kidding it is really a nice place and the people are super friendly.

Not only that but when we got here our new friends Ron and Louise were here waiting for us.Camped
2 spots away and they have tickets right next to us.  Bonus!

I think it may have stopped raining but for how long I do not know.

Happy hour with Ron and Louise was another runaway but what the hell.
a good time was had by all.

We are now in Adairsville Georgia.

Just outside Atlanta.

We are relaxing for a couple of days before heading to Talladega Al.

Friday

We said goodbye to our new friends and headed for Augusta.

There is only one reason to stop here. AUGUSTA NATIONAL

We happened to be camped south of the city and of course the course is north so I phoned them.

Every question I asked came with the same answer-"No sir you are not allowed"

Not being one to give up easy I phoned a couple of members to see if they could get me out.
Bill was home in Seatle.(Gates)
Warren was away procuring another country some where(Buffett)
No sir you are not allowed.

So we ordered pizza and played some poker.

Thursday

We were supposed to go golfing but that never happened.

I went fishing and managed to snag a little guy.

                                                     You should have seen the one that got away.

We headed down to the inlet for the infamous marsh walk.Debbie found a new friend.

                                                      Seems like Peggy liked him also.

                                    This dude appears to be bored with his new friends.

                                 So we went for lunch at The Dead Dog Saloon.(excellent)

After we got back to the campsite the women went to the beach and the men sucked back a few.
Really? Yes really.

We have taken it pretty easy the last few days,just enjoying the sun and warmth-Finally!

This little happy hour started in the afternoon and ended just before eleven.OH DEAR!

After that it was a quiet day on the beach.

Just relaxing-not too crowded this time of year.

This guy was there with his fishing pole but he spent hours trying to catch the bait with a net.
Go figure.

Sunday

Yesterday it was Camping World

Today it was Wally World.

Too damn cold and windy to do anything else.

It is supposed to get warmer starting tomorrow.
