Labour Day Monday

Once again it is a beautiful day here in France.
Sorry I meant Quebec.

We grab the mutts & head north.

We have heard a lot about the Montmorency Falls so off we go.
These falls are actually about 30 meters higher than Niagara Falls
But no where as wide

Even the puppies enjoyed the view

Then we mosey on over to I'l de Orleans. That's an island where time seems to have stood still.

The countryside,the old churches,schools & other buildings.

They even have a lookout so they can tell when the English are coming.
I see you

I see you too

It seemed like everyone was leaving the Island at the same time.

Well maybe not this guy.
It appears he did not notice that the tide went out so he is stuck there for about another 6 hours.

Guess what?
Some people from Duncan BC showed up at the campsite. The first English speaking people we have seen in the campsite,& there are hundreds.
It was nice to have a conversation with someone else.
(what else does the box say Rick)

  1. Some of the Whitecourt crew left Hinton, took the boats to the park border in Jasper, ( Paddy, Leanne, Gord, Anne, Lambert and his Bro-in-law, Jim Bob, Mathew, Dave B,Richard, Elaine, Karey, Wendy),and then overnighted somewhere between there and here, (boat was pretty drunk), good trip, but not to sure if Hoity Toity woulda liked it 'cause we couldn't find and cheap labor to cook and clean the next morning.
