Wednesday

After breakfast we headed for the beach

First it was fight the traffic.

Then the elephants

Then the birds

But we did arrive only to find giant turtles

What a gorgeous day

Wow! Lots of people


All this sun and sand makes you thirsty

So it's up to the sixth floor rooftop for drinks and maybe some lunch

Then it was fight the traffic back home again.

Just in time for a visit from Kim,Karen and Morley(Peterboro),some beers,some BBQ and some rest

Tuesday

Boy arrived

Showed up about 1 am-Late as usual.
So we stayed up till a little after 3 chewing the fat.Beers might have been involved.

So at the crack of noon we headed out for breakfast at Perkins.

Then it was off to check out the beach.

We just drove through and only took a couple of  pictures that really don't show much.

Then we dropped Peg and the mutts off and Chris and I headed for Punta Gorda to find UPS so I could pick up a parcel I had sent to Mike's but it arrived before anyone was there

We had some bad directions but finally found it and retrieved the package before they sent it back
The package contains a tire monitoring system..

We had planned to drop by and see Mike and Lyla May but it was getting late so we just headed   home.
Next time.

When we got home it was beer time,(missed happy hour)

Then we fired up the BBQ and did some steaks to perfection- of course

Being old I was tired and headed to bed leaving the farmers to do their crops(crack book)

Monday

Got Fridge

And I stocked it-48 cans

We also got a new camera,digital picture frame and a bunch more shit adding up to over $700.00
Damn Costco

After shopping and stocking the fridge some friends from Peterboro Ont (Kim and Karen Wallace)showed up on their Harley for a quick visit.they have a house over in Cape Corral.
They were just out for a ride with some friends from North Fort Meyers.we will get together with them later on.
Ok time to rest up-Boy is coming

Sunday

Traveled to Fort Meyers Beach

Went for a little drive then out for dinner and back home

That's it

Our new campground is kind of crappy but it has great access to everything.
I hope that works out.

No beer fridge-still

Boxing Day

Did not do much today.

Tinkered around the Motorhome,reorganizing the basement and packing up to move on tomorrow.

Jaquie and Yvon came over for happy hour,then I spent some time yapping with our new neighbour from Indiana  & another guy from Chicago.Mostly about the weather and Health Care.

Just a quiet day

Still no beer fridge.

Christmas Day

That Fat Bastard never showed.

I had to eat the cookies and drink the beer myself.

Maybe we were bad this year or maybe he just could not find us here where it's about 25C degrees.

So we went for coffee at the clubhouse about 9am.

We took a little spike for everyone.
However some people prefer to wear their coffee.

Then it was over to Yvon and Jacquie's for Eggs Benedict-Yummy Yummy in the Tummy
We also had a little eye opener.

Then it was home for-----------You guessed it

We relaxed for the rest of the day then headed over to the clubhouse for dinner.

The Campground supplied the turkey,ham,gravy,plates and cutlery.

The campers were to bring a dish of something else each.

I think some did not,but it was a great meal and a good time.

After dinner Jacquie,Yvon,Don and Linda came back to our place for a very very last wine?

PS-Still no beer fridge.                                                                      

Christmas Eve

Busy busy boy.

That's me.

First thing it's up at the crack of dawn and spend hours decorating the house

Exhausting!


While the other half

Then it's chop the celery

While the other half breaks eggs.

Then it's chop the onions

While the other half?

Then it's  the break up the bread,cook the onions and celery and stuff the bird.

While the other half? more eggs I guess.


Then I take the Mrs for a swim.

Soon it's back to the salt mine to peel potatoes,trim the beans, make the cole slaw and set the table.

While the other half-Well you guessed it

Yvon and Jackie came over,we sat outside and had cocktails and Horses ovaries.
Guess who made the ovaries?
Then it was dinner.

After dinner we retired to the patio for special coffee's(made by me of course) and a fire.

After Yvon and Jackie left I cleaned the house up while-you guessed it

Oh well I better get some rest and wait for Santa

Wednesday

Today I washed the Jeep and the Motor Home while Peg worked on the inside.

So the new flag and pole look much better.

Afterwards we had a fire while BBQing dinner after beers.

Well maybe not a real fire

Sometimes those $10.00 Christmas gifts that nobody wants get passed around but come in handy

Oh ya. The repairman came to fix the step that got broke during a laps of intelligence.
Only thing is he broke his rivet gun so he will be back tomorrow.

Wow! That is a lot of excitement for one day.
We hope you could handle it.
